The Challenge
We find ourselves in a work event, looking around, we see other industry professionals we have heard about and look up to. We realize this is an opportunity to form a connection – this is a networking opportunity. It’s time for the elevator pitch.
It’s stressful.
Usually in situations like these we are more attentive to our own monologue than the conversation that is actually happening and we miss opportunities to connect.
The Solution
Using improvisational soft skill techniques to become a better networker.
Impro is a theater skill where actors are required to create situations and dialogue on the spot. The workshop participants will learn the skills necessary to be able to do this in the workplace. Principles like: better listening, body language, positivity (the Yes And principle), personal presentation styles and methods of creating long lasting connections. We will learn how to meet people in an alternative way that grabs attention and allows you the comfort of getting out the message while having fun.
